Now anyone interested can learn about the history of this legendary university. The exhibition presents all the milestones in its development in chronological order. It features instruments from various eras collected by the National University of Kyiv, antique handwritten books by professors, unique photographs, documents, and awards. There are also exhibits dedicated to international and athletic activities. Model ships and vessels, placed right in the center, attract particular attention from visitors.

Interestingly, the museum building itself is also designed in a nautical style. Previously, it was a standard classroom, so it had to be renovated. As the project’s designer, Fedir Ivanytskyi, explained, the space was styled to resemble a ship. For example, the part of the museum dedicated to the early history of the educational institution is shaped like a steamship. And the section on recent history is styled to resemble a modern cruise ship.

A unique feature of the museum is that its display cases are not filled to capacity. The empty spaces were left intentionally to make room for new exhibits. After all, what is on display today will become history tomorrow.

Indeed, on its very first day of operation, the museum received a gift from NUO graduate Vladislav Chaika: “I would like to congratulate our beloved NUO and donate the book *The City of Saint Nicholas and Its Aircraft Carriers* to the museum. It was published to mark the 220th anniversary of Mykolaiv. This is a unique copy of the book.”

The Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding is a unique educational institution with a rich and illustrious history. For a century now, the University has been growing and developing steadily. And now you can see this for yourself by visiting the “Museum of History.”
