On December 16, 1998, Ukrainian Minister of Education M. Zgurovsky signed an order establishing the Institute of Humanities as part of the UDMTU. Today, the Educational and Research Institute of Humanities trains specialists in linguistics, design, professional sports, psychology, and journalism. In 2021, the Educational and Scientific Institute of Humanities comprises 729 students (550 full-time students and 179 part-time students), 32 student groups, about a hundred staff members, thirty-one candidates of sciences and four doctors of sciences, four Honored Coaches of Ukraine, two Honored Educators of Ukraine, two Honored Artists of Ukraine, one Honored Artist of Ukraine, world champions and Olympic champions, and winners of national competitions and academic contests.

We are proud of our students—they are the best!

We are proud of our faculty and staff—they are the best!

We are dedicated to our alma mater! But our achievements are no reason to rest on our laurels.

Dear faculty and students of the Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding and the Educational and Scientific Institute of Humanities, we congratulate you on the 23rd anniversary of the institute. We wish you good health, academic inspiration, and happiness for your families. Remember—despite the current hardships and the vagaries of modern life, the future of Ukraine also depends on us, the staff of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Humanities.
