This is a joint initiative by PepsiCo in Ukraine and the “Tvoia Opora” Charitable Foundation. At the start of the project, the parties—PepsiCo, the “Tvoia Opora” Charitable Foundation, and the National University of Shipbuilding—signed a trilateral memorandum of cooperation, establishing a long-term partnership to support university students.
The program’s goal is to support young professionals, reduce the labor shortage in manufacturing, and make the start of a professional career more accessible to Ukrainian students. The initiative is aimed at those who are currently pursuing a technical education and are ready to develop their skills so they can join the modern manufacturing sector in the future.
“Supporting young people is a key focus of our work, as they are the ones who will shape the future of the labor market. PepsiCo’s grant program, which includes an internship, gives students a unique opportunity not only to receive financial support but also to immerse themselves in a professional environment, grow within a large international company, and find their career path. We are convinced that investing in Ukrainian talent today is an investment in a strong Ukraine tomorrow,”notesViktoria Pivovar, Head of Talent Acquisition and Assessment at PepsiCo Ukraine.
Students with strong academic records who are pursuing degrees in technical fields—specifically in the following areas—are eligible to apply:
Throughout the academic year (September 2025–May 2026), participants will take part in additional educational activities—both on campus and at the company’s production sites.
“All of the activities of the ‘Tvoia Opora’ Foundation are aimed at supporting children and adolescents. We strive to ensure that young people have not only access to basic resources but also real opportunities for development and self-fulfillment in Ukraine. That is why we have engaged the business community in a scholarship program to support youth—the first pilot project implemented in partnership with PepsiCo. We believe this initiative will serve as the foundation for systematic support of young Ukrainians,” commentsValeria Tatarchuk, founder of the “Tvoya Opora” Charitable Foundation.
To participate in the program, students must submit an application form and a statement of purpose. Next comes the selection process, which includes interviews and a case study. Afterward, the selected students sign a contract and become official participants in the program.
Upon completion of the training program, participants will undergo a six-month paid internship with a full workweek. Successful completion of the internship paves the way for future employment at the company—in positions such as electrician, maintenance technician, wire splicer, and others.
At the Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding, it is believed that scholarships from leading regional companies, coupled with guaranteed employment upon graduation, are one of the most effective tools for strengthening the link between business and education. This approach not only motivates students, provides high-quality practical training, and opens up real career prospects for graduates, but also helps attract young talent to companies. This practice should be scaled up as an effective model of responsible partnership focused on training competitive professionals.
