The purpose of the conference is to discuss the current state and future prospects of marine and industrial automation, as well as specialized electrical and electronic systems and complexes that are part of stationary and mobile facilities based onshore, at sea, and underwater, as well as issues related to the development of modern software tools and the training of personnel in the field of “Electric Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Electromechanics.”
A brief overview of the most significant scientific results achieved over the past 3–5 years in the relevant field, including the universities and research organizations involved in the collaboration: The Institute of Nuclear Power Engineering is conducting research on: “Development of energy-efficient means of electricity generation and conversion for degaussing systems of small ships.” The research supervisor is G.V. Pavlov, Ph.D., Professor; the principal investigator is A.V. Obrubov, Ph.D., Associate Professor.
Faculty and students of the Institute of Nuclear Energy have participated and plan to continue participating actively in scientific and technical conferences.
The results of faculty members’ research are effectively incorporated into the educational process. During the 2024–2025 academic year, 110 abstracts and 54 articles were published.
Throughout the academic year, undergraduate and graduate students at the Institute of Nuclear Energy, under the guidance of faculty members, participated in research projects and scientific and technical conferences.
Faculty members at the Institute of Applied Electronics regularly participate in professional development programs in the fields of “Information Technology,” “Electrical Engineering,” “Automation and Instrumentation,” “Electronics and Telecommunications,” and “Information Security.” The main venues for these professional development programs are:
– professional development courses for specialists in the field of technical information security at Ukrainian higher education institutions, organized by the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”;
– companies in Mykolaiv that hold licenses to conduct business activities involving the provision of services in the aforementioned fields of expertise.
Key topics for discussion:
Automation, information and control systems and devices; power conversion technology and electronic systems; automated electric drives; power systems, electrical machines, and apparatus; underwater technology and engineering; pulsed processes and technologies; data processing automation and information security; marine instrumentation; issues in training specialists in automation, computerized control systems, and electromechanics.
Availability of qualified academic staff with relevant expertise at this institution: Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding has highly qualified academic staff in this field to host the proposed conference. The relevant departments employ 5 Doctors of Technical Sciences, professors, and a corresponding number of Candidates of Technical Sciences.
