2nd All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “Modern Speech Therapy: Innovative Technologies”

The purpose of the event is to promote the development of speech-language pathology science and practice in Ukraine by discussing current issues, innovative technologies, methods, and tools for remedial and developmental work with individuals with speech disorders. In addition,the exchange of scientific achievements in the fields of speech-language pathology, neuropsychology, and special education; the presentation of innovative technologies, methodologies, and programs in speech-language pathology work with children and adults;the analysis of current trends in the development of speech-language pathology education in Ukraine and worldwide;building a professional community and partnerships among researchers, practitioners, students, and representatives of government and civil society organizations;improving the quality of speech-language pathology services through the integration of scientific research and practical experience;identifying promising areas of research in the fields of modern speech-language pathology, neurolinguistics, and speech-language psychology.

During the 2024–2025 academic year, the faculty members of the Department of Special and Inclusive Education published articles in the Web of Science scientometric database (4), 14 articles in OECD countries, 7 Category B articles, 2 monographs and monograph chapters, 6 textbooks and manuals, and 37 articles co-authored with students.

The First All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Online Conference “Modern Speech Therapy: Innovative Technologies” was organized and held; Faculty members served as moderators for the section “Psychological and Pedagogical Support for Inclusive Education of Older Preschoolers and Elementary School Students” at the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference “Theoretical and Methodological Foundations of Continuity in the Educational Process of Preschool and Elementary Education” and the 10th International Scientific and Practical Onlineconference “Trends in Philological Education in the Context of Integration into the European Space” (section “Communication as a Factor in the Development of Children with Special Needs”).

The following topics are scheduled for discussion:

  • Exchange of scientific findings in the fields of speech therapy, neuropsychology, and special education;
  • Presentation of innovative technologies, methods, and programs in speech-language therapy for children and adults;
  • An analysis of current trends in the development of speech-language pathology education in Ukraine and around the world;
  • Building a professional community and fostering partnerships among researchers, practitioners, students, and representatives of government and civil society organizations;
  • Improving the quality of speech-language pathology services through the integration of scientific research and practical experience;
  • Identifying promising areas of research in the fields of modern speech-language pathology, neurolinguistics, and speech-language psychology.

The department’s staffing meets the requirements for organizing and conducting such events.
