
The mission and objectives of the Department of Military Training at the Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding:
1. The purpose of military training for Ukrainian citizens under the reserve officer training program is to provide the Armed Forces, other military formations established in accordance with the law, and special-purpose law enforcement agencies (hereinafter referred to as the Armed Forces and other military formations) with the necessary number of citizens trained in military affairs to perform military duty in the reserve, to perform military service under contract or by conscription for officers, to serve in the military reserve of the Armed Forces and other military formations established in accordance with the law, as well as to ensure the realization of citizens’ right to equal opportunity in choosing a profession by acquiring additional knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for the proper performance of military duty in the reserve during peacetime, military service duties in wartime, and for future professional activities.
2. Military training for Ukrainian citizens under the Reserve Officer Training Program is conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Laws of Ukraine “On Military Duty and Military Service” and “On Higher Education,” as well as the Procedure for Conducting Military Training for Ukrainian Citizens under the Reserve Officer Training Program, approved by Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 48 (as amended) of February 1, 2012 No. 48 (as amended), the Regulations on Military Training Units of Higher Education Institutions, approved by Order of the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Minister of Defense of Ukraine dated August 15, 2018, No. 910/412, the Instructions on the Organization of Training for Ukrainian Citizens under the Reserve Officer Training Program, approved by Order of the Minister of Defense of Ukraine and the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine dated December 14, 2015, No. 719/1289 (as amended), as well as other regulatory and legal acts of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Command of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the Command of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
3. Military training for Ukrainian citizens under the reserve officer training program is funded by payments received from individuals as fees for higher education services related to military training (under contract) in the following military specialties:
1. “Combat use of airborne (airborne assault), airborne assault, and mountain infantry formations, military units, and subunits.”
2. “Combat use of mechanized formations, military units, and subunits.”
