Research interests:
Mykhailo Mykolayovych Huk was born in 1959 in Sochi, Krasnodar Krai, Russia. In 1983, he graduated from the Shipbuilding Department of the Moscow State Maritime Institute. In 1986, after completing his postgraduate studies, he began working at the Black Sea branch of the “Lot” Research Institute.
In 1990, he defended his dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences on the topic “Research and Improvement of Industrial Ship Equipment through the Use of Rubber-Cord Traction Elements.” In 2001, he began working as an associate professor in the Department of Marine Technologies at the Ukrainian State Maritime Technical University.
Author of over 20 scientific publications and 3 textbooks. Research interests: drilling vessels, wind turbine installation vessels, and general ship systems.
