Yevgeny Vladimirovich Velyaev – a graduate student in the Department of Marine Technologies and Ocean Engineering. In 2012, he graduated from the Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding and received a master’s degree with honors in the field of “Ships and Ocean Engineering.”

From April 2011 to September 2015, he worked as a design engineer, then as a Category 3 design engineer, and finally as a Category 2 design engineer at the design and engineering bureau of Pella Design LLC. From July 2016 to August 2017, he worked as chief design engineer at the design and engineering bureau of Design Bureau IMT LLC.

In 2017, he was admitted to the graduate program at the National University of Shipbuilding under specialty 135, Shipbuilding, in the educational and research program “Shipbuilding.” The topic of his dissertation research is “Determining the Optimal Characteristics of Ice-Class Ships.”
