Master's students' experience and professional development

From September 8 to 22, 2025, sixth-year students majoring in “Secondary Education (Art. Music)” and “Music Art" successfully completed their field training. This is an important stage that allowed master’s students to reinforce their theoretical knowledge and gain practical experience in real-world conditions. On September 29, 2025, a final conference on the field training was held, during which master’s students defended their field training reports before a professional committee.

Practical Training in the "Music" Major

InThe practical training for students majoring in 025 "Musical Arts" was conducted in both in-person and blended formats at the following locations: No. 3 and No. 5 in Mykolaiv, the Mykolaiv Academic Ukrainian Theater of Drama and Musical Comedy, as well as the Municipal Cultural and Educational Complex “O. Gonchar Dnipro School of Ukrainian Culture and Arts” of the Dnipro City Council. During the internship, students participated in rehearsals and concert performances of instrumental, vocal, and choral ensembles. They tried their hand at roles such as vocal soloists, instrumental ensemble members, accompanists for vocal, violin, and folk instrument classes, and even performing actors during rehearsals for plays and concert programs at the Mykolaiv Academic Ukrainian Theater of Drama and Musical Comedy. This helped deepen their understanding of planning the performance process, organizing concert programs, and developing the emotional stability necessary for stage performances.

Practicum in the "Secondary Education" Program

The teaching practicum for students in the 014.13 program, “Secondary Education (Arts. Music),” took place at Children’s Music School No. 3 and the Khmelnytskyi Academy of Humanities and Pedagogy. The main goal was to develop the professional competencies of future master’s-level music teachers and to gain practical experience in teaching. Students had the opportunity to adapt to the professional environment by trying their hand at the roles of educator and instructor of specialized disciplines. This practicum helped them reinforce their theoretical knowledge and develop skills in organizing musical events and working with students.

The internship proved to be a key step in the master’s students’ professional development, enabling them to gain professional experience and develop the professional competencies necessary for a successful career in the fields of education and culture.
