On May 22–23, the Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding hosted the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Technical Conference with international participation titled “Modern Technologies for the Design, Construction, Operation, and Repair of Ships, Marine Equipment, and Engineering Structures.”

The event was organized by the Department of Ship Theory and Design at the Shipbuilding Educational and Research Institute. The rector of the Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding delivered a welcoming address.

The papers presented at the plenary session and in the breakout sessions covered current issues in the domestic shipbuilding industry, recent developments in small unmanned boats, the use of unmanned vehicles—including hovercraft—and the application of solar panels and various types of sails in maritime transport. Presentations were delivered by NUO faculty members, renowned specialists from other academic institutions, as well as graduate and master’s students. The conference was a success, and the research presented was of significant scientific value and sparked lively discussion among participants.
