On October 14, the student group was in the city of Uman in the Cherkasy region and visited the Sofiyivka National Arboretum.

The National Dendrological Park “Sofiyivka” of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine is a masterpiece of global landscape architecture from the late 18th to early 19th centuries. It is a prime example of landscape park design—a harmonious composition of water, earth, stones, plants, architectural structures, and sculptures. The park covers an area of 180 hectares. It is located on the outskirts of the historic city of Uman in the Cherkasy region.

The trip was organized by the Student Republic of the National University of Kyiv. This student union, one of whose main objectives is to organize student leisure activities, offered union members a 50% discount on the trip.

The students are thrilled! They’re eagerly awaiting the winter health camp and getting vaccinated so that quarantine won’t get in the way of their plans.
