Research interests:

Flora and vegetation of the steppe zone, invasive species, their distribution and naturalization, the status of rare species populations and the impact of anthropogenic factors on them, and the development of nature trails within nature reserve areas.

Svitlana Serhiivna Melnychuk. Born in 1987 in the village of Balovne, Novo-Odesa District, Mykolaiv Oblast.  In 2010, she graduated from the Faculty of Biology at V.O. Sukhomlinsky Mykolaiv National University. In 2010, she entered the graduate program at the Department of Ecology and Occupational Safety at Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding.In 2018, she defended her dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Biological Sciences in the specialty 101—Ecology, which is dedicated to the study of anthropogenic transformation of the phytobiota of the “Svyatoslav’s White Coast” National Nature Park. She is the author of 15 scientific and methodological publications.
