Svitlana Yuriivna Ushkats. She graduated with honors from the Paramedic and Midwifery Department of the Mykolaiv Medical College in 1998 and from the Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding in 2006 with a degree in “Ecology and Environmental Protection.” From 2004 to 2015, she held the positions of senior laboratory assistant in the Department of Ecology and junior research associate at the Research Department. From 2015 to 2018, she pursued graduate studies at the Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding Makarov National University of Naval Forces and in 2018 successfully defended her dissertation titled “Condensation and Features of Virial Decompositions in a Lattice Gas Model” (specialization 01.04.14 “Thermophysics and Molecular Physics”). Since 2019 – Lecturer at the Department of Technogenic and Civil Safety. She has held this position to the present.
Director of the "First Aid" Educational and Research Center. Chair of the Mykolaiv City Branch of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society at the Admiral Makarov National University of Shipbuilding. First aid instructor.
She participates in scientific research: she has served and continues to serve as the principal investigator on state-funded and contract-based research projects:

Research interests include theoretical studies of phase transition phenomena based on statistical mechanics, mathematical modeling of heat and mass transfer processes, issues related to industrial and environmental safety, as well as modern first aid methods.
She teaches courses and conducts practical sessions in the subjects “Life Safety,” “Industrial Safety,” and “Modern Methods of First Aid in Emergency Situations,” as well as first-aid workshops. She has developed the elective courses “Technologies for Protection Against Energy Pollution” and “Natural Resources of the Southern Region of Ukraine.”
Author of over 20 scientific publications, including 10 articles in the SCOPUS database, co-author of 1 monograph, 1 textbook, and holder of 1 copyright certificate.
