Освітньо-наукова програма «Матеріалознавство» розроблена для підготовки здобувачів ступені доктора філософії (PhD) за спеціальністю 132 «Матеріалознавство», галузь знань 13 «Механічна інженерія». Метою освітньо-наукової програми є підготовка висококваліфікованих наукових і науково-педагогічних кадрів з матеріалознавства, здатних вирішувати складні науково-технічні задачі, пов’язані з розробкою, обробкою, випробуваннями, експлуатацією матеріалів (металевих, неметалевих, порошкових, композиційних, покриттів), та з’єднань з них. Особливість програми полягатиме у її багатопрофільності, підготовка здобувачів проводиться на базі двох кафедр: Матеріалознавства і технології металів і Зварювального виробництва, науково-педагогічні працівники яких мають різні напрями та специфіку наукових досліджень.

The educational and scientific program «Materials Science» is designed to prepare applicants for the degree of Philosophy Doctor (PhD) in the specialty 132 «Materials Science», field of knowledge 13 «Mechanical Engineering». The purpose of the educational and scientific program is to train highly qualified scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel in materials science, capable of solving complex scientific and technical problems related to the development, processing, testing, operation of materials (metallic, non-metallic, powder, composite, coatings), and compounds from them. The feature of the program will be its multidisciplinary, the training of applicants is carried out on the basis of two departments: Materials Science and Technology of Metals and Welding Production, whose scientific and pedagogical staff have different directions and specifics of scientific research.
